Tweet Tweet Finish

Another quilt finish from 2011.  I made this one for my daughter and used Christmas as a motivation to get it finished as it had be languishing on the WIP pile for far too long.

Fabric: Tweet, Tweet by Keiki for Moda Fabrics
Finished size: Twin size
Quilting: free motion stipple and flowers done by me on my little ol' domestic machine.

Signature reads: "made with love by Sonia B. for Kim B. I love you. 2011"

Backed with the tree print from the same line and bound in the green dots from the same line.

Finish date: December 2011 (just in time for Christmas)
Process Blog Post (apparently, this was a year-long WIP . . . aaakkk)

Tweet Tweet Stack N' Whack

Today, my goal was to finish piecing the half of a quilt top that I had laid out several weeks ago (my bed that was serving as design wall wasn't big enough for the entire top).

I did it!

I have a confession to make.  I am easily derailed by little mistakes and imperfections.  This quilt is going to be difficult for me to finish because of the quality of the white fabric I used.  It is a Moda muslin.  When I was making it I didn't realize that "muslin" means really cheapy fabric.  After using a higher-quality solid like the Kona solids, I know better.  This is going to have to be forced baby steps to get it complete.  Next step: lay out the rest of the quilt . . . maybe next week.
